AsianMall works because people share honest, first-hand experiences of Asian-owned and Asian-focused businesses. These guidelines keep it useful and safe. They apply to everyone: reviewers, photo contributors, and business owners.

What we love

Honest, first-hand reviews. Real photos you took. Specific tips: what to order, when to go, what makes a place special. Helpful corrections to business info.

What’s not allowed

Fake or dishonest reviews. No reviews for places you haven’t visited, no reviewing your own business or a competitor, no incentivized or paid reviews.
Content you don’t own. Don’t post photos or text you don’t have the rights to.
Hate, harassment, or threats. No attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or origin.
Illegal content. Including non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) and any sexual content involving minors. These are removed immediately and reported to the authorities.
Private information. Don’t post other people’s personal details.
Spam & scams. No ads, link spam, or bot activity.

Reviews are independent

Sponsored placement is always labeled “Sponsored.” Paying never buys better reviews or hides criticism. Ads and reviews are kept completely separate. We don’t remove honest negative reviews just because a business dislikes them.

How we enforce this

Customer photos are reviewed before they appear. Reported reviews can be hidden, and content that breaks these rules is removed. Repeat or serious violations lead to account closure. We try to be fair, but we get the final call on what stays.

If something here breaks these guidelines, infringes copyright, or is illegal, please report it. You don’t need an account. Reports of NCII and other illegal content are prioritized and actioned within 48 hours. Copyright questions are covered in our Terms.
