Where our data comes from

AsianMall publishes independently created community listings. Listing facts can come from OpenStreetMap, licensed Overture records, business websites, government records, or community submissions. Public availability alone does not grant permission to copy photographs or written descriptions.

OpenStreetMap

Many AsianMall listing facts (name, address, phone, hours) come from OpenStreetMap, a map built and maintained by volunteer contributors. OpenStreetMap data is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0, which requires attribution and includes share-alike and data-access obligations for qualifying derivative databases. We credit OpenStreetMap contributors. The current catalog below includes current location data and corrections, including non-OpenStreetMap additions. Retained historical source inputs are available separately. Reconstruction of earlier public versions and their complete alterations remains in progress, as explained below.

Overture Maps

AsianMall also fills gaps (mainly phone numbers and websites) from the Overture Maps Foundation's Places dataset. Its source-specific terms include CDLA Permissive 2.0 (full agreement), Apache 2.0 (full license), and CC0 1.0. We credit Overture and retain the provider, release and license evidence for new contact imports. Overture Places does not itself incorporate OpenStreetMap. Its terms continue to apply when a contact is included in an OpenStreetMap-derived database export.

Some Overture Places records originate with Foursquare and are available under the Apache License 2.0. Copyright 2024 Foursquare Labs, Inc. All rights reserved. Overture transformed those records to its schema on March 18, 2026. AsianMall selects matching factual contact fields and adapts them to its listing schema; source-review changes are recorded with their check dates. What our checks mean

AsianMall uses publishing checks for required location and category fields, duplicates, and obvious mismatches. Editors and business owners may add or correct details after that. A published listing does not mean our team personally visited, verified every fact, or endorses the business. Owner-confirmed information and community reviews are presented as separate signals, and we never create ratings or reviews for a listing.

Public web sources

Our current public-web sourcing policy accepts business websites and U.S. government records for factual checks. Older imports included directory references; those references are retained in our internal correction history rather than treated as proof of permission. We recheck affected facts against primary sources and withhold details we cannot substantiate. A government URL is a factual source reference, not a blanket license for all content on that site.

AsianMall writes its own factual descriptions or uses text supplied with appropriate rights. We do not treat a business's public website, a directory entry, or an owner claim as permission to reuse third-party photographs, logos, reviews, or marketing copy.

Maps and directions

Listing maps render with MapLibre and keyless tiles from OpenFreeMap, both built on OpenStreetMap data and credited on the map itself. Directions open in the visitor's maps app using the address supplied for a listing. A business can be submitted with an address alone; a verified map pin is an internal publishing check, not an end-user requirement.

Download the current business catalog

Download the current catalog and source notices (JSON). The download is free and requires no account. It includes all currently published businesses, including non-OpenStreetMap additions, every associated location, and the current business facts, descriptions and catalog summaries listed in its manifest. The file records its snapshot date, field list, counts, source licenses and integrity hashes. It refreshes from the catalog on request; a cached response can be up to five minutes old.

The database is available under ODbL 1.0. OpenStreetMap contents and AsianMall's rights in included original text and additions are available under DbCL 1.0. Overture contents retain their identified source-specific licenses. The download includes those agreements and notices. These grants do not license third-party photographs, logos, user reviews or other separately authored works.

Retained historical source inputs

Download retained OpenStreetMap harvest inputs (compressed JSON) and the field, scope and integrity manifest. This dated source component is free and requires no account. These are historical inputs, not current business information or a complete reconstruction of our historical directory. The manifest explains mixed harvest dates, omitted fields and remaining reconstruction gaps.

Recovered historical contact evidence

Download recovered historical contact evidence (compressed JSON) and the contact evidence scope and integrity manifest. This free component contains 523 historical contact values for 328 businesses, with original-release source metadata and license notices. It records 522 exact source values and one phone formatting change. These are historical records, not current business details.

The evidence supports source correspondence, not a recovered original import link. Matching distances and nearby candidate counts are disclosed. This download does not reconstruct every historical version or establish complete historical license compliance.

Internet delivery is free. No page reference, account, payment or NDA is required. The current download states its scope; it is not a representation that every historical version or the full boundary of our historical merged database has been resolved. Historical scope remains under review and does not limit rights granted by ODbL.

Data can be out of date. If a listing is wrong (or the underlying OpenStreetMap record is), you can help fix it at the source by editing OpenStreetMap, or tell us at hello@asianmall.com and we'll take a look.
